The internet is highly competitive. Millions of websites competes for the same people’s attention and generating traffic to your site is an ever-increasing challenge that you can’t shy away from if you truly want to be a thriving Internet entrepreneur. Yet, some sites are like bee hives while others are like desert lands. Have you ever wondered why some people generate great traffic and others don’t? It could be due to so many reasons, but the most important is the quality of content a site provides. You and I know that if we accidentally stumble on a site that doesn’t provide useful content, we won’t return there. That is exactly why so many people fail in the area of driving traffic to their sites. It is one thing for people to visit your site, and yet another for them to want to come back. That is why many spend lots of money paying for traffic-generating programs and still screw up at keeping the ‘traffic’. So, you see it’s not just successfully driving traffic to your site that counts, but successfully making them want to keep coming back over and over again! That is, making them your permanent audience. Achieving this is very possible – if you’re willing to pay the price. You see, if you want to be a successful internet entrepreneur, your most important job is to provide helpful content for your readers/audience to benefit from, especially if you intend to make money through Google AdSense. Providing great content is a simple secret, and a powerful one at that. The first law of traffic therefore, is to create great content. And that cannot be over emphasized. That’s why people say, “Content is king and traffic is queen.” Great content makes people your addicted readers and therefore creating numerous back links to your site, which gives you great visibility for SEO (Search Engine Optimization), especially on Google search (which currently accounts for about 50% of all internet searches, leaving the rest 50% to all other searches put together)! You have to take your time to manufacture valuable information to your readers/audience always. By so doing, you’ll naturally make them fall in love with your site just like the dog love bones and can’t resist it! This creates the right sentiment for them to have a preference for your site over millions others competing for their attentions.
